With almost 20 years of experience in providing remote outsourcing services in ASIC design and verification, including the development of EDA tools, Silicon Service is one of the few Romanian registered companies that provide customers with external solutions for their R&D activities.

Silicon Service is also known for its special role played in the community given its contribution to the training of the first generation of ASIC design and verification engineers in Romania. Over the years, it has trained more thaecialists in full flow analog and digital IC design, ASIC design verification, EDA SW design and programming, as well as in embedded systems.

POSITION PURPOSE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 With a focus on small, great global teams, productivity, factory-like process, and quantifiable business impact, you will be expected to drive higher levels of value and productivity.

• Development of customer specific embedded software components
• SW requirements analysis, effort estimations, module design, implementation, module and integration tests, debugging
• Development of software components for international customers from design to Embedded C code
• Active participation and responsibility in each phase of projects from prototype to production
• Close cooperation with development partners - close cooperation with different domains (HW engineers, System engineers, Test engineers)

This position requires:

• Strong debug and problem solving skills
• Experienced developing and debugging multithreaded and/or multi-process code
• Ability to understand complex issues and discuss them via phone, email and other methods
• Flexible, can-do approach
• Experience in C++, Java or .NET architecture and programming in a hands-on, development-intensive individual contributor role
• Recent experience with DevOps and Cloud architecture
• Cloud computing integration— Amazon Web Services, or private cloud environments
• Operating systems: Linux, MacOS X, Windows Server
• Experienced in developing high dependability software in C/C++
• Experienced in Senior embedded software developer

QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Experience with multi operating systems environments
• Scripting / programming knowledge
• Experience in working with test case management tools / bug tracking tools
• Good command of written/spoken English
