Be a part of a team of Quality Engineers at the Garrett plant in Bucharest, that applies its expertise and knowledge in finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve quality output and continuous improvements. You will drive process initiatives that ensures compliance with customer requirements, regulatory agencies, government regulations and engineering specifications while instilling site accountability for governance of the Quality System, product acceptance and, product quality.


Main Responsibilities

  • Establishes the workflow at component reception: control plan, verification features, sampling, inspection plan in SAP;
  • Provide technical support and training of quality inspectors on documentation updates (QCI, drawings, derogations);
  • Ensures the establishment of the control sample for component inspection on the production line;
  • Participate in investigation, analysis and decision-making, along with other departments on non-compliant components;
  • Ensure RMRA management and internal derogations;
  • Manage quality notifications (including batch inspections delivered after the quality incident to track the effectiveness of the actions taken by the provider);
  • Coordinate immediate actions after quality incidents;
  • Manage CARs (including initiating, tracking, escalating, validating corrective actions in company’s and vendor, verifying the presence of markings on the claimed products);
  • Manage initiating COPQ.
  • Initiates in SAP the quality profile of the new materials delivered to the Garrett Bucharest factory and assures the existence of PSW;
  • Implementing Garrett’s vision of introducing new components into manufacturing: ECP, component status change in SAP, packaging validation and assimilability test for new components, informing the organization of the test result;
  • Ensure correlation of measurements;
  • Ensures the approval of local suppliers that are not part of the responsibility of the European organization.

 

 

REQUIRED BACKGROUND

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • Ability to partner with others on projects
