SEE Demand Planner

Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to
  • Operate as business partner validating and supporting the forecast process for the Domestic appliances in the South East Europe region.

You are responsible for
  • Creating the baseline demand forecast by using all relevant inputs and preparing a 12 months’ baseline forecast.
  • Acting as business partner and supporting Marketing/Sales/F&A with fact-based analysis and assumptions underpinning the demand forecast; preparing inputs to allow decision taking on the final demand plan, highlighting issues like excess stock, constraints etc.
  • Analyzing operational planning performance of sales vs. plan; defining root causes/corrective actions by collaborating with other functions as input for next planning cycles.
  • Recommending items for de-stocking based on inventory turnover/ageing and excess analysis; highlighting issues of supply-demand discrepancies.
  • Inventory Management: regularly reviewing commercial inventories and recommending optimal safety stock levels based on requested service level and inventory targets.
  • Driving improvement projects in the demand planning space and supporting local teams with expertise and training when required
  • Various projects meant to improve planning capabilities.

You are a part of
  • The SEE Supply Chain Operations team, where a professional but fun workplace atmosphere is valued and a diverse multi-functional team will greet you. You will report to the Supply Chain Operations Manager SEE based in Bucharest and collaborate with many other teams.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
  • University degree (engineering/logistics/SCM/business administration)
  • Previous experience on a similar role, with statistical forecasting and exception based planning
  • Knowledge and understanding of demand planning and inventory management concept
  • Very good PC skills (Advanced Excel, SAP-APO user experience) are mandatory
  • Fluent in English
  • High analytical and numerical skills
  • Ability to challenge factually and to work to deadlines
