The role
The ERP Functional Analyst Finance role is to collaborate closely with clients and client-facing IT, in the areas of Finance and Controlling. The role requires in-depth knowledge and understanding of SAP Finance and Controlling, how it relates to company business processes and how it integrates with other Systems & other integrated SAP modules.
Key accountabilities
In Sales & Distribution area:
  • Be up to date on technology innovations and solutions and advise the Support Functions ERP (hereafter SF ERP) IT business accordingly
  • Initiate innovations in the SF ERP IT business/information domain and support the initiation of these innovations in close cooperation with business representatives.
  • Pursue market developments and translates market developments into opportunities and risks for the business.
  • Gather business needs for one or multiple SF ERP IT business domains and the supporting information domain and define underlying business cases
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis
  • Assess the business impact of critical problems to reduce risks with respect to business continuity and informs stakeholders about the appropriate risk mitigation that needs to be taken.
  • Conduct events and workshops to encourage understanding in the business about IT opportunities.
  • Support and guides business representatives in determining business requirements for IT services and IT solutions.
  • Partner with business SMEs and IT SF ERP client-facing teams to elicit and document business requirements for new and/or enhanced analytics capabilities (reports)
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and work with customers to uncover unmet business needs

Skills & experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in the Business Administration, Computer science, Engineering, or a comparable course of studies
  • Not less than 3 years of business analysis related experience or commensurate, demonstrated expertise
  • Good knowledge of the core business processes domain ERP
  • Exposure to ITIL and/or other structured service management methodologies
  • Proven ability to learn new applications, processes, and procedures
  • Demonstrated detail orientation
  • Comfortable facilitating workshops with small and large groups
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent in English
