Department: Business Organization & Project Management

Role Purpose: Manages complex projects & programs, contributes to the P3M Governance framework and supports project managers in their development.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that proper scoping, initiation and approval of projects and programs is performed via the initial business case;
  • Plans projects and programs so as to support the realisation of the approved business case;
  • Manages complex projects in order to ensure team and task cohesion throughout the project duration;
  • Plans, staffs, implements and controls projects in the area of accountability in order to ensure goal, time, scope and quality targets achievement;
  • Continuously recommends and ensures that contingency plans are in place for risks and issues that are likely to be realised, as well as for dependencies that might affect benefit realisation;
  • Reports/communicates projects status on a regular basis to all affected parties in order to ensure progress monitoring, progress steering, proper task assignment and dissemination of information;
  • Ensures that the appropriate steering and decision body is in place, in accordance with the approved scope;
  • Organizes steering committee meetings and project review meetings with relevant decision bodies and key stakeholders in order to ensure proper complex project steering and overcome potential bottlenecks;
  • Ensures that risks, issues, decisions, deliverables, plans, benefits, costs, changes in scope and other project elements are documented and tracked;
  • Supports business owners and project managers involved in other projects in order to align their approach to UNIQA internal governance framework and transfer P3M knowledge;
  • Trains, coaches and supports project managers in order to ensure their development in line with UNIQA standards, concepts and context;
  • Contributes to the design and update of the P3M governance framework in order to ensure that the operational approach is aligned with the current organizational requirements.


Requirements:

  • More than 3 years’ experience in leading complex projects and/or programs in financial services business operations;
  • Extensive knowledge and track record of P3M and the associated methodologies, techniques, processes and approaches;
  • Technologies/trends/marketplace knowledge;
  • Experienced in cross functional team management in a matrix organisation;
  • Analytical problem solving ability;
  • Organizational and structuring abilities;
  • Previous exposure to senior management and stakeholders;
  • Highly organized and a good multi-tasker, detail-oriented and persevering;
  • Effective communicator and positive influencer of people;
  • Proven stakeholder management skills;
  • Strong team orientation and excellent abilities to blend in teams;
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English;
  • Open minded and keen on knowledge transfer;
  • Resilient in target attainment;
  • Preferred previous exposure to transformation and/ or process improvement projects.
