Product Manager

Job Description

As Product Manager, you will guide multiple teams that are in charge with the Bitdefender product line. Your objectives include increasing the profitability of existing products and developing new products for the company. The products are to be built from existing ideas and new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a mix of business and technical skills; the ability to see the big-picture and a strong will of driving the projects to make the vision reality.
You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with the engineering teams to define product requirements. You will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the key benefits, product positioning and targeted market. You will also act as an evangelist for your product, working occasionally with the sales channel and key customers.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the Product life cycle from strategic planning to technical activities
  
• Specifying market requirements for current and future Bitdefender products by conducting market research and meeting with customers and non-customers
  
• Cross-functionally lead product teams and motivate them to produce great products that are successful in the market place
  
• Define the product vision and determine the optimal way to position products in the market taking into account competition and leveraging Bitdefender’s competitive advantage
  
• Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan by working with all departments
  
• Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product
  
• Continually stay focused on innovation in the space; and think strategically about how Bitdefender can have an edge over competition
  

Requirements:

• 3+ years of software product/project management experience
  
• Knowledgeable in Internet, Software and Security technology. Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS platform and Cloud technologies knowledge is desirable.
  
• Passionate about IT Security. Information Security certifications would be considered a plus.
  
• Strong customer orientation
  
• Computer Science or Engineering degree and work experience is a strong plus
  
• Excellent written and spoken English is a must
  
• Outstanding organizational skills with proven ability to handle multiple projects and operational responsibilities simultaneously
  
• Communicating with customers. Being able to understand how they use the product and what they need is crucial
  
• Ability to talk to different audiences (from the high level discussion with the top management to very in-deep discussion with support)
