Adobe is looking for a Network Engineer with demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and support cutting edge network and automated network solutions with an eye towards scalability, supportability and uptime. In addition to being a Network Engineer this position requires the design, development, testing, and support of automated software network solutions. This candidate will be responsible to provide technical expertise through activities including but not limited to system operational and integration support, software development and testing of various automated solutions.
The ideal candidate will be a dedicated self-starter and customer focused with experience in network technologies and a willingness to take on complex issues and resolve them in a timely manner. This person will utilize skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures. This candidate will be able to document and articulate proposed solutions to technical peers, service stakeholders and management.

Responsibilities
- Implement and support network solutions as per the defined referenced architecture
- Function as the subject matter expert for all things Network Automation
- Develop, enhance, and support automated software solutions to provide services to better monitor, maintain, device management, configuration management, software upgrades/patching and other redundant tasks to optimize Operations and Implementations
- Help establish the Network Automation strategy, roadmaps, tools, platforms, etc.
- Support and maintain network platforms such as; routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, LAN-to-LAN VPN tunnels, SDWAN, and network authentication servers in a highly available distributed global network
- Experience with supporting and maintaining Cisco, Palo Alto, Versa technologies
- Evaluate and pilot and deployment of new network automation products and features.
- Contribute as a network subject matter expert to cross-functional technical teams, internal business and engineering customers, and external partners
- Adhere to Change Control policy requirements and availability mandates/requirements.
- Keep abreast of technological developments and maintain up to date knowledge and skills across key platforms
- Responsible for the long-term health and therefore help in the definition and prediction pipelines for network health - availability and service-level objectives
- Work with peers who are experts in Networking, SDN, Distributed Systems, Big Data and Search
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation to support the global network
- Minimum 3-5 years hands-on expertise in implementing, administering, and supporting a global network
- Ability to support network infrastructure devices, including: firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points and controllers, and monitoring applications
- 3+ years of Cisco networking, switching, and routing technologies
- Strong understanding of QoS and traffic management methodologies
- Have solid functional knowledge of Wireless network support and best practices
- Experience with protocol analyzers and sniffers to troubleshoot network and application issues
- In depth experience working with multiple networking protocols: BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, VLAN, VXLAN, etc.
- 3 years of relevant work experience in Unix systems
- Strong skills with programming and scripting languages such as Python, bash, Perl, Ruby, Java, C, C++, etc. is required
- Experience with web development technologies are a plus
- Familiarity with Salt and/or Ansible is highly desirable
- Experience with API development and leveraging API’s for automation and analytics
- A mindset around software-based automation and large data analytics
- Excellent analytical skills, coupled with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
- Demonstrated ability to implement large scale projects independently
- Must be able to function effectively in a team environment to accomplish team goals
- Strong collaborator with demonstrated experience building cross-team relationships
- Creative mind with the ability to think outside of the box and push the boundaries with regards to automation and analytics
- Some travel will be required <5%
