Work closely with Strategic Marketing, Business Development and M&A leadership to achieve thorough, well thought out strategic and financial analyses for potential targets and impact of the acquisition to GARRETT ADVANCING MOTION.
Develop deep technical & industry expertise in conjunction with GARRETT ADVANCING MOTION's goals of specific targets, technologies and other acquisition criteria.
Contribute to the further development of the Valuation Approach, driving process improvements and developing best practices company-wide.
Will be given a unique opportunity to develop financial modelling in support of potential acquisition and divestiture transactions undertaken by GARRETT ADVANCING MOTION leadership teams.
Specific responsibilities and contributions:
- Identification and analysis of potentially attractive industries
- Preparing Growth Area/Country, Competitive and Market Landscapes
- Preparing and completing VOCs
- M&A Pipeline
- Set-up of SFDC tool to track and monitor M&A activity
- Preparation of pipeline reviews with Leadership
- M&A/JV/BD targets Target Assessment
- Quick turnarounds on potential Go/No-Go Assessments on down-selected targets
- Conducting initial Strategic & Financial analysis - Attractiveness, Potential Synergies Assessment, Action ability, Accretion/Dilution Modelling
- Deep-dives involving Detailed company analyses, assessment of financial metrics, operations, offerings to be able to take a call on overlap with GARRETT ADVANCING MOTION and attractiveness to GARRETT ADVANCING MOTION
- Trading & Transaction Comparable
- Interloper Analyses
- Preparation of Non-Binding decks, support during Due Diligence process
- Case-studies for announced deals
- Supporting active Acquisitions/Divestiture Deals
- Assist Transaction Leader in preparation of various deal documents and presentations (teaser/CIM/Non-Binding Bids/Binding Bids etc.)
- Data Room Management for assigned M&A projects
- Special Projects as per the request of Leadership Requests
- Deep-dive on special situations
- Monitor industry deal flow
You must have:
- Master degree in Finance, business, economics, accounting, engineering or related field;
- Work Experience: at least 5 years of experience in Investment Banking (M&A Function)/Equity Research/Strategy Consulting/Corporate Finance/Corporate M&A

- Proficiency in using Financial databases (Including Excel modelling for these databases) such as FactSet /S&P Capital IQ /Bloomberg
