IBM’s Market Development and Insights team provides value creation by delivering trusted, integrated strategic insights and recommendations that improve IBM business performance and fuel growth.
The Market & Brand Research Associate Advisor is responsible for correctly addressing the business need identified together with stakeholders though analysis and synthesis of multiple sources of online data, transformed though storytelling into actionable insights for the business. These analyses may focus on buyer journey, market/industry specifics, event analysis, IBM and competitor brand and offerings, go-to-market strategy.
It implies thorough knowledge of online media metrics and measurements to be used in various business contexts, a high familiarity with the specific needs of the target audiences as well as a capacity to assess and translate the technical aspects of various online media monitoring offerings into valuable discussion points that drive action within IBM.
The role has ownership for extracting, analyzing and providing insights on share of voice, daily/weekly/monthly trends, trending stories and sentiment, and any custom metrics that are crucial to defining the strategy of Sales & Marketing teams (including portfolio managers, event specialists, digital and social media strategists, brand & communication specialists, as well as any other role identified later that could benefit from such analysis).

- Synthesize multiple sources of data (secondary data, social data, and market data) and translate these into actionable insights that connect directly to client business objectives.
- Conduct analyses and build findings presentations, for a broad range of project types and audiences, including short-term research requests as well as long-term exploration.
- Strong ability to adapt in new environments and drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in Romanian, English and German.
- Ability to create and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships withing and across the wider MD&I team, with Marketing and Business teams.
- Experience in working with Agile or Design Thinking methodologies.
- Excellent cross-cultural collaboration and understanding of peers` personal values.
