Inviting applications for the role of Legal and Compliance Specialist:
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The role requires good organizational, analyzing, communication and people skills;
- Perform certain administrative tasks, like performing the necessary procedures for invoices payment, for submission of expenses reports, for cost approvals, for execution of documents, for organizing meetings with public notaries and/or translators and others, as needed;
- Maintain the databases and the archives updated and perform reporting activities;
- Perform all necessary activities for drafting, preparing, registering and updating of corporate documents, as needed;
- Review from legal perspective and draft, as needed, documents related to the company’s activity, respectively related to the activity of the company’s group;
- Analyze relevant legislation and advise on the impact on the company, as well as on the group of companies;
- Engage in legal and compliance risk assessment management and mitigation;
- Draft and review internal legal and compliance related policies;
- Provide support in integrity related investigations, as well as to the representatives of the company for compliance related matters;
- Attend all meetings and calls, as instructed by the supervisor;
- Manage the relationship with external law firms where appropriate;
- Provide support to other members of the legal team in legal, compliance and regulatory areas;
- The main internal stakeholders will be the Human Resources, Sourcing, Logistics, Controllership, Information Security and Operational teams.
- Update the working procedures periodically;
- Propose measures to improve and streamline the activity.
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
- Qualification to provide legal services in Romania;
- Experience (in house/authorities/private law firm) in the field of employment law, commercial law and data privacy;
- Minimum of 2 – 10 years in the active practice of law at a law firm, corporate legal group, or as a legal advisor to a governmental entity.
REQUIERED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
- Law University graduate

- Organizing skills and capacity to manage multiple activities simultaneously, in an efficient manner, in a fast-paced environment;
- Organizing skills and capacity to manage projects remotely (e.g. via e-mails, calls etc.);
- Ability to network with Genpact staff and management at all levels, in order to advise on legal and compliance aspects;
- Analyzing skills related to complex legal matters;
- Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
- Detail-oriented;
- Communications skills;
- Superior professional and ethical standards;
