Job Purpose
- Being a solution-oriented business partner, enabling business growth, while ensuring legal compliance, mitigating risks, supporting and protecting our company, its mission and its business overall with a professional, hands-on approach.
Legal
- Understand applicable law and regulation, monitor regulatory developments and assess the possible impact on company's activities
- Propose and implement internal legal practices and procedures, including internal communication and follow up
- Prepare, review and negotiate contracts and all other legal documents related to the company, including preparation of legal advice and solutions
- Offering legal assistance to all the company's departments, in areas as: regulatory, corporate, commercial, public procurement, labor legislation etc.
- Regularly meet with senior management and colleagues to identify risks, challenges and needs and deliver appropriate advice and support on issues concerning company's interest
- Counsel internal clients to ensure that legally sound and compliant decisions or plans are being made
- Maintaining good relationship with external stakeholders - notary public, authorities, lawyers etc.
- Proper maintenance and organization of legal documents and database
- Manage and coordinate Compliance initiatives and projects to ensure proper & timely deployment, including communications, organization of trainings, reporting on progress as well as regular follow up on proper implementation, execution, review and compliance with our policies and procedures.
- Respond to questions from business colleagues on application of Compliance policies and procedures
- University degree in Law;
- At least 5 years professional experience, preferably in an international environment/company
- Solid understanding and experience in insurance law and/or insurance intermediation industry
- Various legal knowledge and experience (Regulatory, Commercial, Corporate, Labor, Contracts, Public procurement etc. law)
- Fluent English, spoken and written – professional level, including legal terminology
- Excellent PC skills
- Advanced communication and presentation skills as to be able to negotiate and influence
- Hands on mentality with an open mind and proactive approach
- Business sense and solution oriented
- Independent but also a good team player
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently
