Junior Data Steward Specialist

Overview

Adobe is looking to fill a vacant position on the Data Stewards team. The Data Stewards support various business units globally and manage Adobe’s transactional records throughout several different data systems. This exciting and evolving Data Management environment is ideal for the self-motivated individual who works well with other team members, drives results, remains focused, and excels as an independent contributor.

Job Description

The Data Steward’s role is to ensure a high level of data quality across the organization through sound Data Management in support of critical business processes. The steward is responsible for the integrity of customer data while delivering quality data structures that drive business decisions and support critical business processes.

Requirements

• Understand, maintain and implement the data governance policies agreed upon by the company
• Respond effectively and in a timely manner to research requests from business stakeholders
• Understand and meet business needs
• Research and create customer hierarchies using a variety of tools including Dun & Bradstreet, Hoovers, the internet, customer websites etc.
• Map and maintain alternate hierarchies based on business needs
• Perform clerical review of potential linkage and duplication created within Adobe’s data systems
• Perform mass data cleansing initiatives for the purging and elimination of corrupt or redundant information
  

Knowledge & Skills

• BA/BS with 1+ years data quality management experience preferred
• Expert in MS Excel and intermediate knowledge in other MS Office tools
• Experience with Tableau, MicroStrategy, PowerBI and/or other database querying tools preferred
• Strong research skills using Dun & Bradstreet, Hoovers and the internet
• Analytical problem solver
• Great attention to detail
• Proven flexibility in dynamic environments and ability to adapt to shifting priorities
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Accuracy is essential for this position as the team is responsible for providing very important, detailed data for our largest customers
