Jr. Software Engineer - Cloud Services & Infrastructure Unit Team

The team you will join is young and dynamic and it is part of Cloud Services & Infrastructure Unit. We are responsible for effective collecting terabytes of data from millions of Bitdefender sensors across the world, store it and provide tools and frameworks for analysts to get the most out of their data in an efficient way.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and smart developer to join our Big Data team. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven person, must have excellent problem-solving skills and an high degree of attention to detail.
You will be free to experiment with your ideas and create impactful features that will be immediately used by dozens of analysts.

Responsibilities:

* Work with the team manager to translate existing requirements into robust, scalable software applications.
* You will collaborate with members of the team to help them identify performance bottlenecks and suggest product improvements.
* Become intimately familiar with our custom applications and processes and understand not only how application work but their technical and data dependencies and how the application is leveraged by the users.
* Keep abreast of latest technology trends and provide recommendations on how new technologies and processes could help improve the team.
* Provide development time estimates and be able to consistently deliver on time, high-quality code.

Requirements:

* Terminal year or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
* Excellent data structures and algorithms knowledge
* Tech oriented, good math knowledge
* A smart student who works and thinks on his or her feet.
* A scripting language (nodeJS/Python/other) and familiarity with modern web technologies: docker, Kubernetes, JS frameworks, message queueing systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, ZeroMQ) are a plus.
