The role
The Solution Architect spends 80% of his time developing cost effective solution architecture for business demands related to Production Control and logistics (PC&L) systems, applications and Data. He spends 20% of their time working closely with the central Enterprise Architecture function on technology roadmaps, standards and reference architectures either at the business domain level or the enterprise level. They proactively and strategically support the PC&L and Manufacturing team to leverage cutting-edge technologies to differentiate the key business capabilities and improve overall operation effectiveness, reduce cost and improve products quality.

Key accountabilities

• Work with both business teams and IT business facing groups in order to capture, at the very early stage, the non-functional requirements and provide early architecture assessment and recommendations with candidate solutions and rough order of magnitude.
• Analyze functional and non-functional requirements, and translate them to reliable and cost effective solution architecture that would encompass all the solution elements: Application layers, Integration, data collection, BI, Infrastructure dependency and assess accordingly technical feasibility.
• Develop logical, conceptual and physical architectural models for the targeted solution.
• Communicate architectural decisions, plans, goals and strategies to project teams and senior leadership.
• Guard the alignment of primary PT Manufacturing /IT architecture and processes
• Collaborate closely and in line with corporate Enterprise Architecture on defining standards and technology roadmaps as well as with IT Security on Compliance policies and guidelines.
• Report regularly on PT Manufacturing architecture on planning, execution and adherence towards corporate Enterprise Architecture, policies and guidelines
• Attend regular business strategy reviews to understand the overall business and technology strategies and how technology architecture and roadmaps support PT Manufacturing
• Be up to date of and support in guidance and direction around suitability, cost-effectiveness, performance, resilience, interoperability, operability, portability, scalability, flexibility and maintainability of new technology solutions

Skills & experience

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience on creating solution architectures related to manufacturing systems (Mfg Operations, Quality, Production Control, Logistics and Customs)
• Strong architecture skills and a clear track record of delivering excellent solution architectures using conceptual, logical and physical views.
• Very deep knowledge and significant experience on application development and integration.
• Must have started as a developer or manufacturing system hands admin and done significant hands-on application/Data development work.
• Knowledge on Manufacturing execution systems (MES), maintenance systems, BIG Data and cloud IOT platforms.
• Very good experience and knowledge on the following technologies:
• Java, .NET,
• Sales & Operation planning, PLC, SCADA, IOT
• Web and Mobile technologies (HTML5, JavaScript frameworks - Bootstrap, Angular, jQuery-, PhonegGap, Xamarin)
• Architecture modeling: UML, Archimate.

• Warehouse management experience.
• Experience within an automotive /manufacturing business, supply chain, or logistics companies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English.
