The role
The Solution Architect works within the Global Solution Delivery (GSD) scope and spends 80% of his time developing cost effective solution architecture for business demands related to Shared IT systems, applications and Data. They spend 20% of their time working closely with the central Enterprise Architecture function on technology roadmaps, standards and reference architectures either at the business domain level or the enterprise level. They proactively and strategically support the Shared IT team to leverage cutting-edge technologies to differentiate the key business capabilities and improve overall customer experience/satisfaction as well as increase brand/products visibility and market penetration.
Key accountabilities

• Work with both business teams and IT business facing groups in order to capture, at the very early stage, the non-functional requirements.
• Provide early architecture assessment and recommendations solutions.
• Analyze functional and non-functional requirements, and translate them to reliable and cost effective solution architecture that would encompass all the solution elements: such as Application layers, Integration, data collection, BI, Infrastructure dependency and assess accordingly technical feasibility.
• Develop logical, conceptual and physical architectural models for the targeted solution.
• Lead design reviews to ensure compliance of the proposed detailed design by service providers or internal development teams.
• Provide strategies and solutions to automate business processes and IT infrastructure delivery (bots, chatbots apps, automation anywhere, chef, puppet, Ansible)
• Initiate and deliver technology evaluations and recommendations with initiating POCs as needed. For examples process automation (RPA), employee collaboration portals (like Sharepoint), document management systems, Cloud and SAAS systems that enable employees’ productivity.

Skills & experience

• At least 2-4 years’ relevant work experience on creating solution architectures related to manufacturing systems.
• Strong architecture skills and a clear track record of delivering excellent solution architectures
• Very deep knowledge and significant experience on application development and integration.
• Experience on collaboration platforms like SharePoint and O365.
• Must have started as a developer or manufacturing system hands admin and done significant hands-on application/Data development work
• Knowledge on Manufacturing execution systems (MES), maintenance systems, BIG Data and cloud IOT platforms.
• Good experience and knowledge in the area of the following technologies:
• Java, .NET,
• Sharepoint, O365, Skype for business
• Web and Mobile technologies (i.e. HTML5, JavaScript frameworks - Bootstrap, Angular, jQuery-, PhonegGap, Xamarin)
• IT Infra and Business Process Automation: Automation anywhere, Ansible, Puppet, Chef.
• BPM and ESB (Enteprise service Bus), integration
• Cloud and COTS Apps, SaaS, PaaS, ideally Azure.
• Architecture modeling: UML

• Strong knowledge with Shared IT , production planning, demand planning, warehouse management and automation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Fluent in English, written and verbal
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or engineering.
