The role
The Data Specialist supports the business with relevant data management organization set up and execution. This involves data modelling, data maintenance, data governance, data security and privacy, data cleansing, harmonization and migration. This position works closely with Solution Delivery team and the central BI/Data COE to ensure alignment in terms of leveraging the centrally governed data processes.
Key accountabilities

• Linking pin between the business and technical IT team for all (master) data related topics
• Support the business in the definition, management and execution of the data management and data quality with ensuring alignment with centrally defined data standards and technologies
• Take action to avoid or remove redundancy and inconsistencies from a business and IT perspective
• Translate business requirements into data models, data quality definitions, data maintenance processes, cleansing and migration needs and the potential impact to the various involved business roles
• Analyze and monitor the completeness and consistency of data in databases and or data ware house to align with the business needs
• Conduct quick-wins for Data reporting and analytics to show early results to the business

Skills & experience

• Bachelor degree in business information management
• Experience with Business intelligence tools, for both guided and self-discovery analytics (Qlikview/Qliksense and PowerBI)
• Experience with relevant tooling such as EDW (Teradata, GreenPlum, azure SQL DW), Data Steward, Business Object, Informatica MDM, ETL (Talend, Informatica)
• More than 3 years’ experience with all developments in the area of business intelligence: concepts, approach, data warehouses, OLAP (online Analytical Processing), cloud EDWs and reporting software
• At least 5 years of experience in (master) data management
• More than 5 years’ experience in analysing data from several sources, extract relevant information in view of a given objective and prepare insightful reports that support making decisions by managers
• Capable change manager and agent
• International that speaks fluent English
• Willing and able to travel
