Infrastructure Automation Engineer

For our Bucharest location, we are looking for an Automation Engineer that will be involved in the automation of processes for our IT incident response and automation platform.

The platform is the only enterprise-wide, unified process orchestration and automation platform for Security Operations, IT Operations, Network Operations and Service Desk teams.

Main Responsibilities

• As part of our automation team, your primary goal is to develop new IT infrastructure automations on our IT incident acceleration platform, in close relationship with our operational teams;

• You will evaluate current infrastructure systems and activities to identify potential automation requirements and develop automation task road map;
• Develop scripts that interact with all sorts of systems in order to meet automation requirements;

• Pre-production Acceptance Testing to help assure the quality of our products / services
• System troubleshooting and problem solving across our automation platform/or connected environments;
• Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements;
• Evaluate new technology options and vendor products;
  
  

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience as an Automation Engineer including automation experience with different IT management tools;
• Proven proficiency with at least one of the following languages, preferably PowerShell: Python/Perl/Groovy;
• Windows and Linux system administration experience;

• Experience working with web services (SOAP, REST);

• Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues;
• Basic DB administration experience (MySQL)

• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical people;
• Previous experience supporting networking equipment, server hardware, MSSQL or Oracle databases, SAN technology and server applications will serve you well in this role;
• Nice to have:

• Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools (. Zenoss/SCOM)
• OO Programming skills (Java)
• Experience with Agile software development, project management methodologies
