Full-stack developer - Cloud Services & Infrastructure Unit Team

The team you will join is young and dynamic and it is part of Cloud Services & Infrastructure Unit. We are responsible for effective collecting terabytes of data from millions of Bitdefender sensors across the world, store it and provide tools and frameworks for analysts to get the most out of their data in an efficient way.

We are looking for an experienced and personable full-stack web developer to join our Big Data team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can design and develop end-to-end web-based applications.

You will be free to experiment with your ideas and create impactful features that will be immediately used by dozens of analysts.

Responsibilities:

* Work with the team manager to translate existing requirements into robust, scalable software applications.

* You will collaborate with members of the team to help them identify performance bottlenecks and suggest product improvements.

* Become intimately familiar with our custom applications and processes and understand not only how application work but their technical and data dependencies and how the application is leveraged by the users.

* Keep abreast of latest technology trends and provide recommendations on how new technologies and processes could help improve the team.

* Provide development time estimates and be able to consistently deliver on time, high-quality code.

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)

* 3+ years of experience in software engineering, algorithm design or systems development

* Front End -  Familiar with a modern web web technologies stack including HTML, JS frameworks (Angular/React), CSS, REST

* Backend - Good grasp of algorithms, design patterns, and data structures. Experience with nodeJS or other scripting language is a plus

* Experience working with Relational & NoSQL databases. (ElasticSearch or Mongo or Cassandra). In-memory cache experience is a plus (Redis).

* Is a plus working with scalable message queueing systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, ZeroMQ), Docker or Kubernetes.
