Finance and Commercial Manager with German
Role

Finance Commercial Manager supporting the Xerox Germany Delivery Organization;

Independent contributor with no people management responsibilities;

Advisor, helper, facilitator for the Sales and Service Delivery community and country Senior Leadership to better understand their business (opportunities/ risks/ trend) and overall business dynamics;

Support the design and ongoing management of robust financial analysis, reporting and governance processes for commercial aspects on specific contracts;

Manages continuous improvement process to ensure we maximize revenue capture and cost control/accuracy;

Finance/Commercial owner and escalation point for internal business and support functions;
-
Month-end financial close activities;

Commercial contract management;

Supports his/her manager in delivering their responsibilities and liaises with internal cross functional teams;

The ideal candidate should be excited about the opportunity to identify, pursue and capture P&L improvement opportunities;

Profit and loss responsibility for business area;

Needs to understand and where required present and recommend to senior management the commercial hydraulics for account or business area including key profit drivers, risks and opportunities.

Client facing commercial contact / negotiator;

Responsible for signing off new and additional business and supporting the commercial modelling of renewals/ extensions;
Major Responsibilities
To support the Country SLT, Country Controller and Service Delivery Manager/s in the provision of contract analysis and reporting. Including:
- Own annual revenue/gross profit planning process;
- Monthly performance review and comparison (Actuals vs. Forecast);
- Analyze P&L variance and work with Service Delivery to identify root-causals, raise and track proper actions;
- Propose and submit monthly forecast numbers based on business dynamics, results, input from the account team. Flag any significant unusual items which could affect profitability positively or adversely;
- Challenge missing or inaccurate financial and billing data;
- Interfacing with Finance, to raise P&L adjustment notes (accruals and deferrals) for revenue and cost recognition purposes;
- Monitoring and reporting on P&L performance against business case expectations;
- Lead role in advising sales and operations leaders on terms for commercial (financial) arrangements; Support the Pre-Sales process (business case validation – interacting with key stakeholders like Pricing, Sales, Delivery, HR);
- Review/ analyze loss-making contracts and underperforming contracts identifying causes, proposing actions and working a recovery plan with the Delivery Manager/s
- Responsible for producing Monthly/Quarterly Management Performance reporting packs;
- Support one-off projects as required by the business;

- A knowledge of general accounting practice
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel.
- Knowledge of SAP systems preferred
- Ability to prioritize and work to deadlines
