Position Overview Statement

Working closely with Research and Development and Product Management on product design and requirements;

Working closely with other QA and R&D engineers;

Develop software and testing framework for software modules developed.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Developing software in a Linux cross-compiler environment in C/C++, both user space applications and kernel modules, using GNU toolchains (gcc) and debugging tools such as GDB for ARM based platforms.

Maintenance and Debugging of existing applications.

Developing and applying quality standards for the developed software;

Produce well-documented code, participate in code reviews, work closely with hardware engineers, and provide timely status to Product Management.

Requirements

Embedded Linux (Openwrt/DDwrt, Ltib, Yacto) ;

Debian and Red Hat package management systems;

Scripting bash, awk, python;

C programing, User Space applications and Kernel Modules;

Linux Applications and Kernel Debugging Techniques;

gcc, cross-compiling for embedded Linux.

Nice To Have

Linux/Cisco Networking;

Basic knowledge of SQL, HTML, PHP;

Basic knowledge of electronics.
