The Opportunity
The role implies working on site (in Malaga) for 5-10 weeks, with the possibility to come home once a month for the weekend, the cost being covered by us.
As DevOps you will be responsible to fill the gap between infrastructure and development teams. As part of a product team you will work closely with the DevOps Lead Engineer and the team Developers to deliver improvements and enforce good practices around almost every stage of the development process, from code to deployment and beyond begin responsible of environment performance monitoring and troubleshooting owning the Build and Release process of your product.
Collaboration is essential as DevOps. In addition to aforementioned you will have to work together with other teams, where begin proactive and communicative is key to success in the role.
Our build infrastructure is running over Microsoft Windows stack, including IIS, Visual Studio 2017, Team Foundation Services (TFS) and many other Windows services deployed over VMware and AWS infrastructure.

What Your Daily Basis Will Be Like
- Maintain and improve continuous delivery pipelines
- Coaching development teams to maintain their source code repositories, build and release processes across the whole development cycle (automated tests, functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, etc.)
- First escalation point for deployment-related problems
- Key member on how the deployment architecture is implemented in one of our products over 2019 which includes moving to AWS as the default deployment platform for that product and Docker containers
- Maintain environments e.g. create/destroy, turn on/off, allocate resources, backup/restore, instrumentalise with Graphana and New Relic, etc.
- Responsible for making efficient usage of hardware resources either on-premises and AWS
- Meet regularly with other DevOps Engineers and follow directives given by the company DevOps Practices Manager
Essential Requirements
- English fluency - mandatory; you will work closely with London office, and (in)directly with our customers who are typically concentrated in English-medium business environments
- TFS administration e.g. build and release definitions
- PowerShell and any deployment scripting language
- Experience with infrastructure automation with Chef, Puppet or Ansible
- Experience on VMWare scripting with PowerCli
- Experience with Wodnors stack (Visual Studio, Active Directory, IIS)
- Some coding knowledge in C#
- Problem analysis and issue troubleshooting skills
- Comfort with collaboration and reaching functional borders
- Proactivity
- Passion for automating processes and remove waste
- Leadership to liaise with dev leads, architects, BAs and other key stakeholders
- You'll work in a tight-knit team, to AGILE (SCRUM / KANBAN) methodologies, concurrently on a series of projects within a product
- You will have direct access and accountability to the Head of Product, Product Owner, DevOps team and Project Manager
- You'll be engaged across the full project lifecycle
- You will discover that your team will be accessible and supportive, keep you on your toes and expect you to play your part in continuing the success of the product
