Principal Business Analyst
US - Massachusetts - Remote

Business Process Management professionals within Business Support are responsible for everything from consultation, training and awareness programs, through to the architecture and implementation of quality processes and standards. The Principal Business Analyst independently provides broad functional expertise within the Global Renewals business. The Principal Business Analyst proactively identifies ways to streamline processes and solve problems impacting the effectiveness and accuracy of renewal sales operations activities. They will collaborate with resources throughout the organization including (but not limited to) Sales, Information Technology, Business Intelligence, Quality, and project teams to design solutions and/or process improvements. They will also mentor other business analysts and may assume project management responsibilities for small to medium projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide and readily share broad functional expertise related to group processes and systems
  • Identify best practices across the enterprise and industry and assist in their implementation
  • Uncover operational inefficiencies and conflicting business practices, suggesting improvements
  • Foster a continuous improvement mind set and global focus throughout the Renewals team and promote adoption of new ideas
  • Create clear and simple process and/or systems documentation with a reader-focused mind set
  • Lead the generation of online content that engages staff and leads to measurable action
  • Collect, analyze and compile comprehensive business requirements documentation for IT-related enhancements
  • Facilitate working sessions for team-based activities
  • Develop cross-organizational business relationships and integrate project activities across teams
  • Mentor other business analysts to enhance proficiency of process-related center of excellence
  • Measure, coordinate and propose activities of other teams that impact Global Renewals data
  • Collaborate with technical resources including developers and BI professionals as well as process, training and cross-functional team members.
  • Create and execute of testing strategies and/or test scripts to minimize post go-live issues
  • Prioritize projects and activities leveraging portfolio management techniques
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities and resources for small to medium projects
  • Communicate any project issues including timing, budget, resources, score, or more to management team

Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years business experience the areas of business process and/or business applications
  • Proven continuous improvement focus in prior roles
  • Undergraduate degree in relevant area
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and Visio
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal in English
  • Advanced influencing & leadership skills to direct cross-functional resources & resolve conflict
  • Results focused, data driven, and the ability to transform ambiguity into clarity
  • Strong customer-focus combined with services/renewals business acumen
  • Ability to evaluate problems, challenge norms & identify & drive innovation
  • Strong planning and organizing skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to simplify complex topics and processes for sharing with teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Desirable Requirements
  • Training in the business analysis, quality, and/or process management disciplines
  • Experience with business applications design and/or development
  • Advanced degree in business administration or other relevant area
  • Experience with SharePoint or comparable collaboration tools
