Data Analyst for Global Renewals

The Data Analyst will be an integral part of continuous improvement initiatives within the Global Renewals organization. Through comprehensive analysis of operational data, the Analyst will identify data quality issues and participate in their prioritization, scoping, and resolution. They will work closely with Business Analyst and Quality Analyst roles to accumulate, cleanse, analyze data and interpret the results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine data analysis using various techniques, e.g., transnational research, database queries, sampling, statistical analysis, etc.
  • Determine root cause issues and determine scope of their impact
  • Analyze data underlying business transactions and verify the accuracy of that data as presented in our systems
  • Proactively detect issues and escalate prioritized issues to team for resolution
  • Coordinate prioritization and monitoring of data quality improvements with all contributing resources across the organization
  • Foster a continuous improvement mind set and global focus throughout the Renewals team and promote adoption of new ideas
  • Develop cross-organizational business relationships and integrate project activities across teams
  • Collaborate with technical resources including developers, quality analysts and business analysts

Essential Requirements
  • Proficiency with Dell EMC processes and systems or comparable industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years business experience in the use of business applications
  • Conceptual knowledge of business processes and application systems
  • Experience working on cross functional teams
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Excellent communication, organization & analytical skills
  • Customer focused
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and Visio
  • Ability to adapt in a work environment that is constantly evolving
  • Work well within a diverse team and also display the initiative to work independently
  • Ability to evaluate problems, challenge norms & identify & drive innovation
  • Strong planning and organizing skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

Desirable Requirements
  • Training in the business analysis, quality, and/or process management disciplines
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools such as SQL queries and browsers
