Decision Support Consultant

About the role:

• Reporting to the Head of Technology Finance, the role acts as a true business partner to the Technology Department in Vodafone Romania. The role is to provide valuable financial, business, decision making support to drive financial and operational efficiency and successful projects/ programs.
• This will be achieved through strong relationship with a range of stakeholders with high quality decision support input. The role will strategically build, engage and influence senior stakeholders.
• Produce the Business Cases and Business Justifications for investments in Technology and coordinate the technological, business and financial side input
• Support the decision making through studies, analysis and interpretation of data
• Post Implementation Review for all project requiring a significant investment is a core duty of this role, aiming to analyze actual vs. budgeted investments and benefits, key vendor’s performance, any qualitative benefits enhanced

Role accountabilities:

• Finance lead on all business development opportunities impacting the unit

• Support the Head of Technology Finance in financial review and sign off of all significant contracts the unit enters into
• Manage ad hoc request from the CFO and CTO
• Prepare important strategic presentation for the CFO and CTO
• Active participation in important meetings is required: express her/his views on topics in the operational and other important meetings
• Closely work with other teams in Finance and Business Units
• Produce insightful reports and briefings to CFO to keep him informed about unit performance and activities
• Provide CFO with all input and materials required for internal and shareholder review meetings

Role specification (technical / professional expertise/education):

• Essential: University Degree in Economic Studies
• Language knowledge: fluent English              
• Desired: Master, ACCA affiliation or membership, any other qualifications on financial analysis, investment appraisal, project management
• Essential: minimum 5 years’ professional experience
• Desired: minimum 2 years’ project and business analysis experience gained through relevant professional experience
