Role purpose:
Discovers information, patters in the huge amount of network operations data and builds models with the purpose of automating network operation activities.
Develop solutions together in an interdisciplinary and agile team of data engineers, software developers and system specialists, and also takes over professional leadership functions in a team.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
• Deliver NOC automation as part of Agile teams in Agile methodology
• Translating complex datasets into key strategy insight and powerful capabilities, to the business
• Delve into data from different systems, at different timescales, and in complex formats to discover hidden relationships and useful information
• Design business ideas and use cases and estimate business metrics of the expected effect.
• Program, validate and optimize prototyping models.
• Represent the user perspective of OSS platforms over architecture and technology.
• Identify new analytics trends and opportunities to drive the innovation agenda across countries
• Identify new data sources and evaluate emerging technologies for data discovery usage
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
• Analytical thinker, familiar with complex technologies, programming languages and data and is used to moving confidently to different applications, platforms and systems
• Experience in Big Data analytics & deployment of models and algorithms into a commercial/consumer environment in order to analyse extremely large volumes of structured data
• Ability to test hypotheses from raw data sets and draw meaningful conclusions
• Deep and broad statistical modelling expertise in various domains
• Good communication skills, with proven ability to work cross functional teams to translate business issues into potential analytics solutions
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• Machine learning Libraries – Spark ML, scikit-learn, xgboost, Tensorflow + Keras, GraphFrames
• Working knowledge of Big Data statistical analytics tools (e.g. Python, R, Scala)
• Experience in Big Data Analytics landscape and technology trends (e.g. Spark, Hadoop, NoSQL, SQL)
• Familiar with leading visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlikview, Splunk, Spotfire, D3.js)
• Familiar with Agile delivery methodology
• Good analytical skills (listening, questioning, challenging etc.)
Preferred technical/professional experience
• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative fields like Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computing and Engineering
