Mission

Your main focus will be implementing Infrastructure as Code for the Internet Banking applications (Home’Bank, ING Business), external ING site, enterprise event bus, and enterprise service bus.

Your day-to-day

Configuration and maintenance of the production application infrastructure components;

Ensures system availability is within agreed SLAS;

Able to provide support 24x7 during on-call rotation;

Design and implement monitoring mechanisms via code (scripts, manifest files, playbooks);

Design and implement applications deployment automation;

Design and implement middleware systems deployment automation;

Provision test environments containing all the IT systems used by the Bank (Bank in a box);

Implement changes on production systems in accordance with change management procedures;

Understand all implications of maintaining external-facing, 24x7, business-critical systems;

Identify and track relevant performance indicators;

Automate the tracking and implementation of the latest security patches on middleware systems;

Monitor, investigate and report all possible issues related to the administered domain;

Ensure that all interventions on production systems are performed in accordance with ING security procedures and guidelines;

Collaborate with the Application Support and Development teams in identifying and solving production and test environment issues;

Understand what a BCP requires and implement and maintain DR infrastructure;

Monitor system performance and take corrective actions where necessary;

Maintain and regularly test the backup plan;

Ensure high-availability of the application.

What You Bring To The Team

Experience with complex projects;

Experience in managing WebSphere Application Server, Jboss EAP 6;

Thorough knowledge of: Jboss EAP, WebSphere, Apache Web Server;

Experience with Linux operating systems (RHEL), Windows;

Curricula or training on relational and non-relational databases;

Knowledge of shell scripting - Bash, Python/Jython, Awk, sed.
Nice to have

Experience with the following technologies is an advantage: PHP FPM, MySQL / MariaDB, IBM ISAM, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats, Redis, HornetQ, Magento, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, WSO2 ESB, Kafka, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, OpenShift;

Professional certifications on the mentioned technologies represent a significant advantage.
