3Pillar Global is searching for an UX Designer. The applicant will add skills and years of experience to an already established team of talented consultants that all work towards the same goal of meeting our client’s needs. This individual should maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability and emerging technologies and keep team members informed as appropriate with a view to incorporating these in future projects and staying ahead of the market.

Responsibilities

• Understanding people: Gain a deep understanding of user needs and goals communicating them cross functional product teams, applying principles of design thinking, lean and agile to conceptualize engaging and valuable user experiences
• Generating ideas: Drive design process in a collaborative manner with cross-functional teams, gathering many ideas, building upon each other’s ideas to help come up with the best solutions
• Driving decisions: Facilitate the creation of task flows, wireframes and other design deliverables
• Prototyping experience: Craft interactive and intuitive experiences quickly and with ease, enabling you to test your ideas cheaply on a variety of platforms from desktop to mobile
• Testing: Have a hypothesis based on the understanding of your users and validating those ideas before shipping a product
  

Requirements

• An amazing designer with 3+ years of experience, working with complex applications
• Proficient in Sketch App, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other design tools
• Well versed in sketching, wireframes, user flows, site maps and process flows
• Able to work independently in all areas of user experience (generative and evaluative research, interaction design, information architecture and visual design)
• Able to push pixels and push them like a champ, creating beautiful masterpieces of color and depth, driving an emotional connections with your users
• Possess a strong sense of design theory and typography
• An excellent communicator and have interpersonal skills, with an ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including Product Management, Engineering, and User Experience
• Comfortable balancing design with business and technology perspectives, to help build a successful product, understanding how the design decisions impact these two dimensions, effectively collaborating in with an agile or lean approach
• Tell a good story
• Comfortable with the capabilities and limits of presentation layer technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and others
• Able to present a complete portfolio that shows breadth and depth of work
