Test Engineer - Iasi, Romania

Performs testing and quality assurance tasks within sprints and validation projects. Develops and maintains test asset used for manual and automated product testing. Manages own assignments and schedule, and serves as a resource for other departments on issues relating to the tester’s modules. Operates under moderate supervision.

  • Works directly with software development scrum team and other testing services team members to deliver high quality software applications or solutions.
  • Primary responsibilities includes proactive testing, finding new defects, reporting and analyzing them, and supporting software designers in corrective actions.
  • Designing and creating test cases, test data and other necessary test assets.
  • Managing and tracking bugs/anomalies and verifying bug fixes.
  • Influence software design to maximize testability and automation potential and improving working methods.
  • Researches and develops an understanding of the industry requirements for the product features being tested, including daily usage of the features and feature related performance, security and reliability requirements.
  • Writes test cases for assigned modules, builds test systems and automates tests under the direction of senior verification specialists or test automation architect.
  • Travel as necessary.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, information systems, computer science is required, or equivalent to.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in software testing environment, or equivalent to.
  • Must have good practical testing skills and an understanding of the QA processes of agile development.
  • Java or Java script skills and preferably basic knowledge of databases related scripting/programming
  • User Experience with application related test automation tools like Selenium, Appium and Robot Frame Work
  • Practical experience with any modern test management, defect and requirement tools.
  • Must be able to deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Must be a team oriented person with a “can do” attitude.
