Technical Product Owner - ING TECH

Mission 

A global approach has been developed to build the Go2Place for small & medium enterprises as well as mid corporates clients. The value proposition will offer clients one platform from where they can manage and accelerate their business, and which makes their life easier.

The platform leverages on existing ING global solutions but will also consist of newly built components deriving from business needs.

As a Product Owner in the Platform Team, you will be responsible to drive the creation of common components that enable and accelerate the development process of all feature teams.

You will work locally with a multi-disciplinary/ BIZ DEV OPS squad of architects and developers. You are the representative of this squad and maintain a close relationship with the Area Product Owner, peers, users and other stakeholders. The squad’s location is in Bucharest, but a large group of the stakeholders involved in the program are located in Poland, Netherlands and Germany. In this context, a high availability for travel is required (estimated at one a month).

Your Day-to-Day 

·       Driving a BIZ-DEV-OPS squad as the Technical Product Owner representative.

·       Take part to different type of meetings, workshops or any other kind of interactions in order to be accountable on both business and technical point of view within the team

·       Understand the architectural vision, context and direction and explain them to the team from both business and technical point of view taking into consideration always the product goal and mission.

·       Throughout the product development phase, create and prioritize requirements (with business, functional and sometimes technical details) in the forms of Themes, Epics, Features and Stories and facilitates backlog refinement sessions

·       Make sure DOR (Definition of Ready), previously agreed with the team is met for each backlog item

·       Write clear Acceptance Criteria for both business and technical items, including Test scenarios if possible

·       Drive the planning sessions with focus on the deadlines and goals of the product and product release plan

·       Make sure the DOD for each backlog item is accomplished

·       Take part of the testing part, in some cases running technical tests, other times just validating from a functional / business perspective

·       Providing an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Re-lease/Sprint Goals

·       Reporting to IT Area Lead and working together with solution architects, customer journery experts, domain arhitects etc

What you bring to the team 

·       1 – 3 year(s) experience working as a Business Analyst/Technical Product Owner / Technical Project Manager in a software development environment.

·       Solid Agile experience with SCRUM and / or Kanban methodologies

·       Experience on working with distributed teams, international projects and multicultural business environment

·       Ability to share knowledge and educate team in the business domain, understand and promote different technologies

·       Proven ability to define a set of requirements that pinpoint business challenges and identify technical and business changes required to address them.

·       Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across different software development and the business teams.

·       Experience in supporting/rolling out software

·       Proactively validate with the stakeholders the added value and identify new opportunities, features and improvements

·       A ‘go to’ person for the team when it comes to clarity and domain information.

·       Analytical thinking

·       Excellent communication skills, pro-active and easy to approach attitude

·       Proficient level of English, any other language is a bonus

·       Availability to travel once per month, interact with different cultures and switch context in short term
