IT Operations Engineer - Risk Reporting

The Mission

ING is looking for an enthusiastic IT Operations Engineer who is technically passionate, solution-focused and able to improve the platform and delivery automation. Ensure and support a stable and performing critical Financial Markets reporting and analysis application, allowing Global Market Risk analysts/users to slice and dice, aggregate and join the data from various sources.

Your day-to-day

• Together with your IT colleagues in Singapore and Amsterdam you will support and run the in-memory OLAP hypercubes (ActivePivot technology) on all environments including Production.

• Take care of incident management, and root cause analysis in case of unavailability and data quality issues. You communicate directly with users on this from Amsterdam, London, Brussels, New York and Singapore.

• Implement and work with the latest tooling with a strong focus on performance, stability and security

• Find opportunities to automate the testing of existing features, performance and security as well as the automation of deployments, monitoring, and more. This is a keu responsibility of the Operations Engineers.

• IT Risk & security controls need to be put in place and accurately documented.

• Through Agile/Scrum you bring live new sprint releases every 2 weeks.

What you bring to the team

• A University degree in Computer Science, Cybernetics or equivalent

• 2+ years of IT Operations/Automation/Support experience

• Experience in automated testing, deployment, monitoring

• Experience in Bash or Python scripting

• Familiarity with tools like Confluence, JIRA, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Logstash, kibana/grafana, Tivoli scheduler

• Experience or affinity with IT Risk & Security concepts

• Good communication skills, in English and Romanian

• Strong analytical skills, proactivity and willingness to share knowledge with others
