What Will You Be Doing Every Day?
Work directly with suppliers to satisfy Honeywell's quality standards and strategy, and replenishment initiatives in the manufacture of components. You will interact with all levels of the Honeywell Organization. As Honeywell's point of contact within the supply base, you will travel within your assigned geographical area, in support of a variety of supplier oversight functions, spending a majority of your time at supplier facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Properly interpret and enforce all applicable purchase order requirements
- Evaluate supplier systems and conduct gap analysis where required
- Prepare and present metrics associated with quality trends and related improvements within the supply base
- Provide technical leadership to coordinate implementation of Six Sigma and Lean
- Manufacturing through advanced quality processes including statistically based variation reduction, control planning, mistake proofing, and Process Control
- Process large quantities of information and determine critical needs, to develop solutions that alleviate barriers and meet the needs of internal and external customers
- Develop strong partnership with suppliers in regard to their commitment to Honeywell projects, timing and measurement of results
- Develop the assigned suppliers, using improvement tools (process control, error proofing, etc)
What Skills & Experience Do You Need?
YOU MUST HAVE
- University degree
- Experience with quality assurance processes
WE VALUE
- Self-motivated and able to get results with minimal supervision and oversight
- Experience leading teams focused on problem solving and driving supplier improvements using Six Sigma tools
- Good negotiation skills and experience in developing win-win relationships with supplier
- High level of interpersonal skills is required to handle difficult situations as well as to diffuse interpersonal conflict effectively
- Strong understanding of Quality engineering practices
- Trained in Six Sigma / Lean technique
