Microchip Technology is looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to expand its APID Applications department in Bucharest, Romania. The candidate will be part of a worldwide team responsible with the development and maintenance of firmware and PC-software applications.

Job Description

• Development of PC-based Graphical User Interfaces to monitor and interface with embedded systems;
  
• Development of PC-based drivers;
  
• Add new blocks and maintain older ones in a PC-based application; understand and maintain core functionalities;
  
• Create application notes, getting started documents, and demonstration software that helps customer product development;
  

Job Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Automatics or Electronics;
  
• Good knowledge of PC based code development like C++/C# .NET on Windows;
  
• Good knowledge of OOP principles;
  
• Ability to work in a team environment;
  
• Very good oral and written communication skills in English;
  

Desired Skills/experience

• Knowledge about the common microcontroller communication protocols (I2C, SPI, serial communication);
  
• Linux development;
  
• Portable device applications development (Android, iOS etc.);
