Senior QA Automation Engineer

Role Summary

Fortech is looking to add a Senior QA Automation Engineer to its team in Cluj-Napoca.

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining automation frameworks and scripts as well as ensuring the overall quality of the product.

This will be a dynamic environment, where you have the chance to participate throughout the complete testing lifecycle and to focus on software quality through peer reviews, refactoring, continuous integration and deployment.

You will be part of our QA team in Cluj-Napoca and will connect with software engineers and leaders across the globe (Europe, USA).

Your  Responsibilities 

• Analyze the requirements for test automation
  
• Take initiative to clarify and discuss with stakeholders what needs to be automated
  
• Design and implement the QA Automation frameworks
  
• Implement unit level tests
  
• Implement UI functional automated tests
  
• Perform high-quality testing activities for complex applications
  
• Create, execute, maintain, review, document and improve automated tests, tools and scripts
  
• Participate in short to long-term project plans and strategies
  
• Implement performance and load tests – nice to have
  
• Security testing – nice to have
  

Your Competencies 

• 4-6 years of experience in testing as well as in automation
• Programming knowledge, preferable C# know-how
• OOP knowledge
• Expertise in software testing or development of applications
• Good ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Good command of English
• Good communication skills
• Good assertiveness
• ISTQB certification – nice to have
• Software architectures and concepts understanding – nice to have
