Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of the 8x8 engineering team. We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications to join our team in Cluj-Napoca.

You will be part of a talented development team that works on a critical application for 8x8 and is involved in the entire life cycle of the product from development to deployment. One of the services owned by the team is responsible for the management of phone numbers and automation of porting requests exposing RESTful APIs used by other services in the 8x8 ecosystem to ensure all our customers can use the numbers they need.

As a member of the team, your responsibilities will include:

Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle;

Write well designed, testable, efficient code;

Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications;

Prepare and produce releases of software components;

Support Continuous Improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies and presenting these for architectural review.

Must Have

Solid Object-Oriented Analysis and Design skills;

Strong technical skills across Java, SQL, web and database technologies;

Excellent development experience with Java REST web services;

Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate);

Knowledge of secure coding practices;

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and with others.

Nice To Have

Familiarity with Spring, Hibernate, MySql, AWS, Kubernetes.
