Position Summary:

The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will be part of a team responsible for developing the System Infrastructure software for the network and diagnostics of high-end, embedded automotive infotainment systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze customer requirements, software requirements, architecture and design documents.
• Create the software detailed design based on the component definition from high-level design.
• Build the software components based on the requirements and according to the standards of the automotive industry and in-vehicle applications and software development processes.
• Perform code reviews and inspections following automotive-specific coding guidelines and best practices.
• Create and maintain the functional tests (Unit Tests and module tests) for the software components.
• Analyze and fix software defects; resolve inconsistencies in case of unclear technical requirements in the specification by direct communication with the customer.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or other relevant (IT connected) specializations
• At least 5 years of experience as a software development engineer
• Solid knowledge of C and/or C++
• Good Linux userspace and scripting knowledge
• Source control tools experience (Git)
• Good English communication skills both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in networking (TCP/IPLinux networking, Switches)
• Packet and protocol analysis using Wireshark
• C++ QT framework experience
• C++ Google Test development for unit testing
• Take initiative on complex technical problems
• Automotive On-Board Diagnostics (OBD)

Eligibility Requirements:

• Willingness to travel (0-10% of time) depending on the project necessities
