Job Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver the Linux SW image intended for the PQRS domain. Ensure this image meets the requirements.
  • Support the project management team during the RFQ phase, conduct feasibility studies. Analyze, evaluate and clarify the customer requirements and generate technical specifications. Discuss and evaluate the change requests.
  • Plan, prioritize, coordinate and track the tasks and work packages. Clarify the HW- and SW-dependencies with system- / SW-architects.
  • Make decisions regarding software changes with impact on the current plan (time, quality, budget); escalate depending on impact level and sign-off for domain implementation planning.
  • Analyze the trouble tickets, steering actively the bug-fixing by technical coordination of all involved parties with multiple dependencies.
  • Report to both the project management team and to the customer.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Master degree in Computer Science or other relevant (IT-related) specializations.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in automotive embedded software development and design.
  • Strong knowledge and deep understanding of Linux-based systems
  • Strong team and communication skills. Proven ability to work with teams in different locations.
  • Strong analytical skills and good system understanding. Independent and systematic way of working. High sense of responsibility and ability to work under pressure.
  • Sound experience with methods of agile project and software management.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or other relevant (IT-related) specializations.
  • Good understanding of current hardware architectures.
  • Experience with and understanding of concepts related to HW qualification.
  • Yocto knowledge and good understanding of how Linux distributions are created.

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Good English communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to speak clearly and fluently during technical meetings.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 10% of time) depending of project needs.
