8x8 Research and Innovations, located in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, is always looking to hire talented Quality Assurance Engeneers to join our growing technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of the 8x8 engineering team that is involved in the entire life cycle of development.

PRODUCT/TEAM

The Virtual Contact Center web application is a simple and efficient solution offering not only world-class contact center capabilities, but also workforce optimization and unified communications. You will be part of a large, highly qualified and experienced team, working in an Agile environmet.

Responsibilities
  • Get familiar with the product and business knowledge
  • Take part in all application development life cycle phases, according to the agreed Test Strategy
  • Manage test execution for relevant implementation objectives
  • Generate and provide QA metrics/KPIs for relevant phases
  • Attend SCRUM ceremonies and other important meetings
  • Acted as liaison between development and business teams – provided visibility and clarity into business requirements to the development teams, and provided design and architecture insights to the business teams

  • Experience in refining functional requirements together with the Product Owner and the team
  • Work closely with the Product Owner, Developers and Testers in order to deliver the tasks in time and with the expected quality
  • Work closely with offshore teams in different time zones
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Troubleshoot, analyze and isolate defects and report them to an issue and project tracking software
  • Manage and maintain test environments
  • Investigated, reproduced and characterized defects and test failures resulted from customer feedback
  • Maintain existing test cases and keep them up to date (steps, flags, level, etc.)
  • Execute test cases across the functional areas of the application
  • Perform extensive functionality, integration, regression, interoperability and end-to-end system testing independently or with the team
  • Analyze and follow-up test execution reports and set the proper corrective actions if needed

Qualifications
  • Being familiar with Quality Assurance terms, standards, strategies and procedures
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process as an Agile tester
  • Familiar with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence or any other issue and project tracking software
  • Good understanding of SDLC
  • Good test design, test execution, test reporting skills
  • Good knowledge of Quality Assurance terms, standards, strategies and procedures (2+ years)
  • Willingness to learn test automation tools, techniques, test librarie handling, reporting
  • Eager to learn new technologies and techniques on various testing levels (automation ,performance, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Good self-management skills
  • Team player, self-motivated, eager to learn and result oriented
  • Have a strong attention to detail and be able to think outside the box
  • Outstanding communication skills (English)
  • Proactive, problem solver, independent
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work as part of a self-organizing team, take initiative and be a team player

Preferred Qualifications
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Good test design, test execution, test reporting skills
