3Pillar Global is searching for an experienced Node.js Developer. The most competitive candidates will display a strong understanding of 3Pillar Global’s objectives, strategy and values. You will add your skills and years of experience to an already established team of talented consultants that all work towards the same goal of meeting our client’s needs. He/ she should maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability and emerging technologies and keep team members informed as appropriate with a view to incorporating these in future projects and staying ahead of the market.

Build, release management and enterprise software development process are the primary skills utilized on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Write clean code to develop functional web applications
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic
• Gather and address technical and design requirements
• Provide training and support to internal teams
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features
• Follow emerging technologies
  

Requirements

• Hands on with Node.js
• Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS
• Experience with popular Node.js web frameworks (e.g. Express, Sails, Koa)
• Experience with popular Node.js utility libraries (e.g. Underscore/Lodash, co, async, Q)
• Experience with unit testing (e.g. Mocha, Chai, Sinon)
• Strong database skills (e.g. AWS DynamoDB, MongoDB)
• Experience with JavaScript promises
• Experience with REST APIs development
• Strong understanding of the HTTP protocol
• Experience with revision control systems (e.g. Git)
• Strong analysis, debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Highly detail-oriented and time conscious
• Team player - ability to work cooperatively with the other engineers
• A quick study and can be self taught
