Network Operations Center Engineer

We are looking for a NOC Engineer to join the team in Cluj-Napoca and help us increase reliability, availability and uptime for the services we provide.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure standard operating procedures are maintained and executed;
• Record trouble tickets and assign based upon urgency and issue;
• Perform ticket management;
• Analyze alarms and trouble indicators to identify problem areas, troubleshoot and escalate to appropriate parties;
• Ensure the continuous availability of all services;
• Manage all network maintenances/events;
• Maintain communication with all carrier partner NOCs and account management teams;
• Perform routine system maintenance, monitor system and network health (Nagios, CheckMK, Wavefront, Kibana, Observium);
• Provide 3rd level support for technical problems escalated from 2nd level Customer Support;
• Track bugs and gather specific technical information to be given to the developers;
  
  

Qualifications – Required

• 1+ years of NOC experience in a multi-site enterprise environment;
• Strong background and understanding of voice and data protocols (TCP/IP, SIP, RTP, DNS, SNMP);
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix platform system administration;
• Demonstrated proficiency in trouble shooting, analyzing and problem solving;
• Experience working in a 24x7x365 environment;
• Relevant experience with process documenting;
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in both Romanian and English;
  
  

Nice To Have

• 2 + years of experience within a Linux based environment;
• Scripting skills;
• Experience working with databases (MySQL/MS-SQL);
• Windows administration skills;
• Experience with a VoIP platform and familiarity with SIP protocols;
• Experience with a SOX compliant environment;
• Working knowledge of Cisco and/or Foundry network equipment;
