Junior Security Engineer

The QiO security team is looking for a Junior Security Engineer  to join us ASAP.

You

You will be working under the guidance and direction of our Head of Security who is based in Cluj, to plan, deliver and maintain the Security Strategy for the protection of QiO, its products and clients. 

When appropriate you would consult with clients (both internal and external) to ensure that QiO security capabilities are defined, understood and accepted.  You will be working closely with our Infrastructure and Operations Teams to ensure internal security levesla re adequately monitored and maintained.

Where

This position is based in Cluj- Napoca, Romania and will be majority remote based. 

QiO do not support visa applications or relocations, therefore you must already hold the appropriate residency and right to work.  

We are head quartered in the UK (Farnborough) and we also have presence in Potsdam (Germany), Canada (Toronto), the US (Raleigh / Miami), India (Pune) and most recently in Singapore.

Requirements & Competencies

• Analytical and interpersonal skills with ability to work successfully across engineering disciplines, working with globally dispersed teams
  
• Able to build effective relationships with developers, product managers and others
  
• SIEM tools
  
• Working knowledge of Rancher, Kubernetes, MAAS, Java, Helm and Docker
  
• Knowledge of AWS/Azure, Sophos, UTM, AV, VPC and VPN services
  
• Understanding and high standards of engineering practices, including code quality, unit testing and continuous integration
  
• Demonstrable network and data security architecture experience with large scale clients in high grade security environments
  
• Knowledge of maintaining ISO 27001 documentation
  
• Understanding of ITAR compliance in security architecture
  
• Experience of unified threat management technologies
  
• Experience in implementing an Information Security Strategy as defined by the Security Lead
  
• Knowledge of potential hazards and threats to safety
  
• Results orientated, highly driven and execution focused

Education

• Minimum BSc in Computer Science or a related field.
  
• An advanced degree in Computer Science and knowledge of mechanical and / or electrical systems preferred, or MBA.
  
• Experience working in the field of computer security
  
• Industry certifications CISSA, CISSP and CISM
