Job Responsibilities
  • Development of new functionalities or enhancements for the current products (mostly backend development; sometimes frontend too);
  • Develop or amend integrations with 3rd party APIs;
  • Capability to provide a good design of the new and existing code;
  • Ensure the quality of the work delivered by designing and writing automated unit/system tests;
  • Perform investigation and analysis of defects and provide appropriate fixes in a timely manner;
  • Actively participate in peer code reviews and contribute to improving the codebase;
  • Communicate effectively and develop good working relationships with the rest of the team and with client staff (good level of English is required);
  • Actively participates to all Scrum ceremonies via video calls;
  • Availability to travel 1 – 2 weeks per year.

Technical Skills

Back-end technologies - experience with:
  • Java 8;
  • Microservices based architecture;
  • Strong skills of designing new code and improve the quality of existing one;
  • Spring framework - Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Core, Spring boot, Spring Rest, Spring Security;
  • Code best practices and code review skills;
  • Hibernate framework;
  • Maven;
  • Junit, JBehave;
  • Oracle & MySql;
  • REST Services;
  • SOAP Services.

Front-end Technologies – Nice To Have
  • JavaScript & jQuery;
  • UI best practices;
  • Cross browser compatibility;
  • HTML5;
  • CSS3.

Other Skills
  • Creative, being able to give multiple solutions to the same problem, but realistic, meaning that the solutions given can be implemented with high performance;
  • Being able to do quick fixes for live when urgent;
  • Communication skills;
  • Agile processes knowledge and experience;
  • Time management skills, resilient to change;
  • Strong English skills (spoken and written);
  • Soft skills: sociable, proactive, team player;
  • Fast learner and adaptable;
  • Comfortable to constantly interact with the client, provide solutions, raise risks when necessary;
