Description

In this position we are looking for someone to support the Software Asset Management process - daily tasks consist of liaising with internal customers on licensing queries and/or scenarios, troubleshooting software requests, performing license reviews and generating various reports. You will be expected to challenge the internal processes and contribute to the continual improvement of the SAM practice. An effective use of SAM tools according to software processes and procedures is expected in order to ensure we maintain accurate effective license positions.

Responsibilities
  • To support the IT Software Asset Management and Software License Compliance processes
  • To manage the IT Software License Compliance for the assigned Vendor(s)/Manufacturer(s)
  • To support the IT Asset Lifecycle processes
  • Managing the request process – Offer support to the users and manage requests related to software
  • Managing the purchase process – Offer support to the requestors/users and manage requests related to software license purchases
  • Maintaining database of authorized installations
  • Maintaining and improving the existing processes
  • Maintaining databases as part of the processes (inventory, contracts etc.) and ensuring data quality and accuracy including company confidential data
  • Review of installed base and comparison with actual number of licenses for assigned products/manufacturers and implement necessary actions where needed
  • Supporting all external Software compliance audits incl. SAM engagements
  • Analyzing assigned contract types and providing support to VMO
  • Supporting projects related to IT Asset Management
  • Develop and accurately maintain existing documentation (ITAM Handbook)

Requirements

  • Good analytical skills
  • IT Skill areas should include: Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint knowledge (basic required, advanced advantage), Software licensing knowledge (basic required, advanced advantage), Microsoft SharePoint knowledge (basic required, advanced advantage), Nintex Workflow knowledge (advantage), IT Asset Management tools knowledge (advantage), ServiceNow knowledge (advantage), Oracle (advantage)
