The Logistics Analyst will primarily support the strategic initiatives of all Modes of Transportation within Isolation Valves Business (ISV) Unit globally. Key activities in this position include but not limited to data analysis and reporting, Supply Chain Optimization programs support and operational support activities for the production sites and sales offices.

The Analyst must have or develop an understanding of Emerson Logistics programs, Supply Chain Optimization (SCO) systems and processes, as well as an end to end overview of the Emerson Supply Chain Programs.

Support

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost containment.
  • Provide logistics support for ISV manufacturing sites, service centers, representatives, and customers when requested
  • Supporting the OTM rollout
  • Provide Training to Logistics representatives on Corporate Logistics Tools (OTM – Oracle Transportation Management (TMS)), FTI (Business Intelligence Platform), etc.)
  • Support Freight Audit Program implementation with data analysis
  • Support ISV Sites in the FAP invoice resolution process

Analytics
  • Develop & Prepare Performance Measurements reports for Service Provider Performance Reviews
  • Perform analytics from data collection from different sources
  • Carrier reports from parcel carriers
  • OTM data collection for ground and heavy air
  • APLL report for ocean
  • Perform saving analysis and present summary of findings and/or recommendation to the Director Global Logistics
  • Support Director Global Logistics in collecting freight spend by mode data from OTM FTI, ISV Sites and Sales offices
  • Create ad-hoc rate comparison studies to support logistics decision makings

  • Run Weekly And Monthly Carrier’s Reports
    • Develop standard reporting and metrics in line with the existing program metrics
    • Weekly Reporting on Carriers Metrics
    • Coordinate recurrent calls with the carriers to improve the KPI’s
    • Run weekly/monthly carrier SCO leakage reports

    Perform Operational Activities Such As
    • Assist the Director Global Logistics in compiling pricing exhibits upon e-sourcing award
    • Coordinate and manage rate request related activities (spot or long-term rate) between ISV Sites, carriers and SCO Support team
    • Support SCO Operational and Audit Pay Teams in any ground rates or carriers related inquiries

    Requirements
    • BS Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
    • 2 years professional experience in Business Analyst or similar role
    • Strong computer and analytical skills. (Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English – both verbal and written)
    • Ability to work independently
    • Comfortable interacting with staff across globally diverse businesses and multiple functional areas
    • Ability to multi-task and work in multi-disciplinary teams
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Supply chain, Logistics or transportation industry experience is highly desirable
    • Experience in a procurement role or with online sourcing systems is a plus
    • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS); electronic data interchange technologies (EDI, XML) is a plus
