Frontend UI/UX Developer

Position Summary

We are looking for a Designer/Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming.

Responsibilities will include working closely with the engineering team and translation of UI/UX design wireframes to code and markup. You will bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

• Developing, implementing and maintaining web-based Java application that supports business requirements and achieves a high level of quality and end-user satisfaction.
• Develop creative solutions and functional prototypes to demonstrate proof of concepts and to enable rapid iterative testing of design ideas.
• Responsible for the implementation of a consistent CSS strategy, building CSS as needed, and ensuring CSS standards are followed throughout the application.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with a focus on front-end web development
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
• Good understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
• Familiarity with technical issues around web development and ability to work constructively with the software development team.
• Ability to provide a portfolio or samples of professional work.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to work effectively with Project Managers and team members to provide support as both an independent operator and team player.
