Main responsibilities:

• Collaborates in developing and applying the Global Commodity Strategies in a global context;
• Prepares and/or applies regular (global) benchmarks, market analyses, and sourcing decisions;
• Selects and follows up the release of suppliers in accordance with the Purchasing strategy and general Purchasing Processes;
• Collaborates in defining & managing the supplier panel for the Commodity in charge;
• Initiates and/or supports the sourcing committee (supplier award process);
• Negotiates the global part portfolio of the suppliers and implements general agreements, terms, and conditions in a global context;
• Leads negotiations with suppliers in his/her perimeter of responsibility in accordance with the guidelines for price negotiations;
• Organizes and moderates regular meetings with his/her key suppliers;
• Introduces and follows up ideas and initiatives in order to improve the respective suppliers’ global productivity & performance;
• Initiates and follows up Change Requests for productivity initiatives (Material Cost Optimization and Value Analysis/Value Engineering) in close collaboration with global commodity team;
• Follows up the monthly commodity results;
• Applies and ensures the application of relevant Contracts and Agreements;
• Takes over special tasks based on upper-level decisions, . special projects.

The ideal candidate:

• Bachelor degree – Technical or Economic;
• Relevant industrial purchasing background of minimum 5 years;
• Strong communication and negotiation skills;
• Strategic thinking.
