Application Specialist, eCOA Library, Iasi, Romania

The Application Specialist, eCOA Library is responsible for the development of the Clinical Outcome Assessment Instrument Library. The position will also be responsible for documenting and driving improvements and standardizations in the way instruments are designed and implemented. The role will be working with Client Services, Product Management and Health Outcomes to develop and refine new and existing instruments and ensuring they are made available to study teams in a timely manner. They will also be expected to help in the implementation of new instruments when they are needed outside of client projects. They will also be working with the Client Services and Solution Architecture to identify improvements in the existing device templates and user guides.

Our office in Iasi was opened in April 2017 and has now grown (Feb 2018) to 83 people. You need to be a real self starter and have the aptitude to work on your own projects as you will work remotely from the Project Delivery Application Specialists (Based in UK and US) taking full ownership of the eCOA Library and the question templates we use and develop new templates. You will be developing these questions using TrialMax, our proprietary language which is similar to the structure of SQL or Python. You will work with the Project Delivery teams and learn about the different therapeutic areas where eCOA is used, understand individual client needs, the necessary tailoring required to the front-end tool and and ensure that the client's needs are met and that the subjects (patients and volunteers) user experience is first class. We are looking for an individual who is comfortable in learning our proprietary language and willing to cross train, maybe from an older language.

  • Provide analysis on instrument template usage as well as gap analysis on template needs
  • Design and develop the instrument library structure and functionality to ensure usability and search-ability of its contents.
  • Develop eCOA Instrument Template solutions using TrialMax platform (Web, Slate, Touch) according to the common requirements surrounding specific questionnaires
  • Interact with Solution Architects and Delivery Teams to review new and modified templates and on strategies to conform to template standards.
  • Develop and store instruments and their localizations in the Instrument Library
  • Review, update and incorporate instruments developed by Client Services into the Instrument Library
  • Investigate and propose solutions for changes in requirements or potential issue/bug
  • Work with the instrument owners and authors to develop author approved implementations of instruments
  • Identify and document areas for improvement and standardization in the design and implementation process
  • Work with R&D and other Application Specialists to develop solutions for identified improvements and standardizations
  • Help dissemination of knowledge of improvements and standardizations as well as the work of the Instrument Library
  • Support project application specialists in utilizing the instrument library
  • Develop and support the execution of the template library maintenance and lifecycle
  • Work with CS, Product Management and Solution Architecture to identify updates to the eCOA templates to improve data quality, scalability and efficiency
  • BS(c), BA or equivalent degree
  • Demonstrated programming experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently to drive projects forward
  • Knowledge of TrialStudio platform
  • Ability to influence stakeholders internally and externall y
