Position Purpose

Ericsson requires a talented Configuration Analyst to work alongside market leaders within Content Discovery as Ericsson continues to transition its traditional services to cater for the onDemand requirements of today’s customers.

As part of the Content Discovery team, the successful candidate will be at the heart of delivery of Ericsson’s editorial and technical content, while working closely with Project, Data Management, Commercial and Analysis teams. You will help configure and maintain the flow of data through configuration, testing, monitoring and troubleshooting where necessary.

The position is normally based around Monday-Friday office hours (to mirror those of our suppliers), however, additional hours may be required on an occasional basis to cover major work, respond to critical incidents or other events as the needs of the service dictate. To support theoperations in Ericsson, the Configuration Analyst may be required to be on-call as part of this role. Overtime can be payable in such circumstances.

Main Accountabilities – You Will
  • Work across Scrum teams and DevOps ‘Squads’ to help release configuration changes in a professional manner
  • Meet critical customer delivery deadlines through the configuration of ingests and deliveries through the Ericsson metadata database (Teleview)
  • Ensure that appropriate project development standards are maintained and that all documentation is updated to reflect system or procedural changes
  • Work closely with other Technology and Project Delivery staff as part of a wider team delivering systems to business users
  • Provide support and advice when required, attending internal and external meetings and conference calls when necessary
  • Supporting the commercial team in customer engagements. This includes attending client meetings, providing product overviews, demonstrations and presentations and otherwise providing pre-sales support
  • Maintain a subject matter expert level of knowledge for all Content Discovery services and products
  • Work closely with business users to analyse the requirements in system terms and identify new business opportunities
  • Analyse systems proactively to identify problems and trends. Propose technical solutions and recommend changes to optimise system performance and usability.

Technical/Soft Skills
  • A degree level qualification in Computer Science or similar discipline, or equivalent business experience
  • Demonstrable experience of having worked in an Agile environment
  • Good Jira and Confluence experience
  • Ability to report on and analyse complex data using recognised tools including Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent written and spoken English
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Shell, Groovy, Python, or Perl
  • Good knowledge of UNIX-based operating systems and web-based technologies (XML and XSLT in particular)
Note: this will not be a hands-on coding role
  • Understand basic UML
