Your Challenge

• Coordination of Design and Development of electromechanical and/or electronic components and modules in consideration of customer specific and internal requirements for concepts, serial development until end of production;
• Planning of the Development and conduction of the development in consideration of timelines, resources and budgets;
• Compilation of the concerning KPIs and reporting to the management;
• Independently design of product according to the requirements;
• Evaluation of design (e.g. analysis of tolerance, assembly analysis, FMEA, DFM, calculation and simulation);
• Design review and design approval ;
• Creation, archiving, maintenance, checking and release of technical documents (e.g. circuit diagram, drawing, BOM);
• Realization of Change Management;
• Support of product cost calculation and VAVE Engineering in order to optimize product costs;
• Main contact partner for internal and external customers and suppliers and responsible for the appearance of the cooperation;
• Main contact partner for other departments;
• Responsibility for subordinate technical topics within the DD-department;
• Responsibility (time, budget and technical) within big and/ or complex projects within DD;
• Functional coordination of employees within projects;
• Provides technical knowledge and guidance to associate design engineers;
• Provides resources, develops and deploys processes and methods as well as dedicated tooling to the design team and projects;
• Manages Best Cost Country engineering activities;
• Assists either the Head of D&D or the Group Leader D&D in planning the strategy, capacity, trainings, cost and budget and monitors the results;
• Supports expansion of Best Cost Country locations supporting D&D activities;
• Directs Design of wiring systems / components for one or more projects;
• Is responsible for the coordination of the overall product design of one or more compartments;
• Directs one or several of the following design elements;
• 2-D / 3-D Harness / component routing;
• Design Release Engineering;
• Module split of 2D designs;
• Module logistic code definition;
• Resident Design Engineering;
• Evaluation of customer systems;
• Change Management;
• Schematic Design;
• Wire Dimensioning;
• Ensures regular communication with customer engineers.
  

Your Qualification

• Degree in a technical field of study and 5 years of working experience or comparable relevant qualification;
• Good knowledge of English language;
• Experience in functional leadership;
• Experience in project work (time and work package planning and management);
• Experience in design review and release using CAD Siemens NX;
• Experience in data release using PDM systems;
• Communication skills;
• Organizational skills;
• Analytical skills.
