The Class teacher assistant is expected to:
Report regularly to the coordinator regarding students’ performance and challenges, with recommendations for action and a summary of actions taken.
To provide support to children
To give extra help to children with special needs or those for whom English is not their first language
To create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the pupils.
To guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and objectives as indicated in the lesson plans for the lessons, units, or projects assigned.
To use instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting lesson objectives.
To help the teacher to develop programs of learning activities and adapting appropriate materials
Use different methods to motivate and encourage pupils
To attend meetings and reviews
Take part in and organize after/school events, outings and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening;
Maintain high levels of discipline and respect between pupils and staff; promote an understanding of the school’s rules and values; safeguard health and safety; and develop relationships with and between pupils conducive to optimum learning.
Maintains a neat and orderly classroom.
Take attendance in accordance with school procedures.
Insures that the students are never left unattended in the classroom.

keep up-to-date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum;
Keep up-to-date with current educational thinking and practice through individual study and attending courses, workshops and meetings,
Act as a consistent role model to all students providing them with advice, knowledge and mentorship that extend beyond the delivery of the curriculum.
Set a good example at all time adopting a professional appearance and being culturally sensitive and professional both in the school and the community.
Perform other related duties as directed by the Head of School or Academic Director

Requirements:
Bachelor /Master Degree In Educational Sciences/Pedagogy/Psychology/Foreign Languages
excellent command / highly proficient in spoken and written English
Experience working with children, preferably
Demonstrate an absolute commitment to students and their learning and development
Possess good oral and written communication skills and be a good communicator, who is accessible to pupils and colleagues;
Priorities, organize and manage time effectively
Be approachable, have a sense of humor and lead by example
Satisfactory health record
Comply with the school’s policies and procedures

Founded in 1994, Cambridge School of Bucharest has grown from a modest student body of just few students to a leading educational institution in Bucharest. Since 2002, the school has been licensed by Cambridge University as an official examination centre for Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) examinations, thus offering a truly British education to students of a diversity of nationalities, languages, and backgrounds.
To best serve the growing international community in Bucharest, the Cambridge School became an accredited British School Overseas in 2018. The school provides the National Curriculum of England and Wales, with a wide range of academic subjects taught by enthusiastic specialist teachers.
In August 2020, the school will move to its new home in the Bucharest neighbourhood of Pipera.
