System Engineer for Access and Tire Controllers - I BS (TSR)

The Interior division specializes in information management. It develops and produces information, communication and network solutions for cars and commercial vehicles. This enables and optimizes the control of the complex flow of information between the driver, passengers and the vehicle as well as mobile devices, other vehicles and the outside world. To achieve this, the division is involved in cross-sector collaborations with leading companies.

In the Access and Tire Controller group we make sure that only the right person can enter and start a car, we provide tire and road information to the driver and to the advanced drive systems, but also look over the comfort of the user while in the vehicle.

The connectivity with the car is becoming a very complex and interesting subject involving wireless communication (RF, LF, NFC, BLE, GSM), cryptology, proximity detection, wireless power charging, driver recognition and safety regulations.

We are looking for a system engineer to work with us for the development of multi-functional smart device terminals integrating features such as wireless power charging and device authentication, but also other innovative products derived from SMART access into the car which have many interfaces with other vehicle electronics.

System overview is more than one discipline engineering! The system is the full picture of the internal electronics, connectivity, interfaces, robustness, safety and security, reliability and agility of the car, down to incredible details and with a wide sense of understanding and vision of current and future car architectures.

A mentor will support you to take over responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes, and organization.

Requirements:

• Technical university degree in a relevant field (e.g. Telecommunication, Electronics, etc.);
• Very good knowledge of the product development areas (electrical engineering, software, mechanical engineering);
• Very good knowledge of requirement management, car architecture, change and configuration management (SPICE and CMMI);
• Good knowledge and understanding of functional safety standards (IEC 61508/ISO 26262) and software development life cycles;
• Cryptology and algorithm development is a must;
• Cyber security knowledge is an advantage;
• Very good communication skills and customer focus;
• Very good writing, reading, and speaking English skills.
